Prayer for recovered Buddhist altar items
In order to be reborn, take a moment to express gratitude for the role you have played so far.
Before collection of Buddhist utensils that can be used as art materials, we check to see if they have been prayed over, and if a prayer has not yet been performed on them, we ask an imam to pray for them. We will work hard to express our gratitude for our past roles, and prepare to be reborn in a new role.

The Buddhist altars and sacred utensils lined up on Buddhist altars and shrines are painted in various ways, disassembled into parts, and transformed into new forms.

すばらしい取り組みだと思います。全国的に広がればいいのにー。
仏具がこんな形で生まれ変わる事に多少の違和感を感じていましたが、本当に輪廻転生を感じ素敵な出会いとなりました！
アクセサリーに使われている部分がとてもキレイで、今度仏壇をまじまじと見てみようとおもいます。
見ていて楽しい気持ちになりました！命がふきこまれて生まれ変わるのは良いですね！
普段見ている仏具たちが生まれ変わる様が見れて、楽しい！
アクセサリーの金具、言われなければ仏具であったことに気づかない。発想がすごいなと思いました。

In the style of mehndi, I used acrylic paints to paint each of the Buddha’s tools, putting my feelings into each one. I hope the work conveys tenderness, delicacy, and warmth when you hold it in your hand.
Amani
I don’t have a particular technique or material in mind, I just draw what I want to draw when I feel like it… Happy and peaceful colors and touch are the characteristics of my handsome work.
Ishihara
I paint in the mountains surrounded by nature and gods in Akaban City. Now that I am in my thirties and married, I can finally see the light of day, I want to light up the hearts of everyone, so I paint pictures. I hope that all of you will continue to live in peace and tranquility.
Kosmos
Alcohol Ink Art” is a technique in which alcohol ink and ethanol are dripped onto an ink-repellent object and painted by the wind. It is a free art that anyone can do without a brush or pen.
Miwa Nakamura
I take what strikes me and what inspires me and give it form, mainly using fabric and beads. I hope that the person who receives my work will be moved by it.
Fujii
In the past, I worked as an illustrator and designer on the side while working in apparel, food service, and agriculture. Four years ago, she started her own business as an illustrator. Created concept art for companies on walls and large canvases. She holds drawing workshops for children using paints made from vegetables. She has been active as an artist in live painting and art exhibitions in order to share her artwork with the world. In July 2024, she will open a drawing class using iPad.

Hifumi
Botany painting Botany painting is an art form in which natural lotus leaves, Indian lime trees, rubber leaves, etc. are used for pasting and coloring. I also make corsages and plaster reliefs. I aim to create artwork that gives healing, comfort, and power to those who see or hold it in their hands.
Yamaji
I create illustrations (digital and analog) and various designs (characters, graphics, logos, etc.). I aim to create works that make people happy and joyful when they see them.

I have been interested in and experienced many different things, and now that I am over 50 years old, I am spending my days trying to connect each of the things I have cultivated so far into a dot and then into a line. Currently, I run a confectionery shop.
Harutsuki Coron
Beyond the framework of school, I am seeking my own way of life by choosing an environment and a way of learning that allows me to be myself. I have a unique sensibility in my differences and difficulties with others, and I feel the joy of creating works of art while giving careful thought to each one. I believe that the Buddhist objects offered to the Buddha are close to the heavenly world, so while valuing the existence value of the objects themselves, I created a work in which various friends are having a good time, inspired by the world of the sky.
Arigato Firm
We created two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. Artists working with handicaps at a labor support office in the Omote-cho shopping district. They paint pictures on Buddhist altarware using techniques that take advantage of their individual sensitivities.
